Girl, WHERE have you BEEN?!

Yeah, I've been wondering that myself, lately. The last quarter of 2009 and beginning of 2010 have been a doozy...

Over the last few months, a lot has gone on. It's been crazy busy and extremely trying at times, but it seems to be winding down. There's been travel, sickness, holidays, visitors, my birthday, more holidays, and finally, the death of my grandfather last week.

I've got to say, I'm not sorry to see 2009 go. In fact, I'm welcoming 2010 with open arms.

I don't want to write off 2009, because it wasn't all bad...but the tail end was a whirlwind I don't care to repeat. It's all taken its toll, which is evident in the fact that both my ears are infected, with a sinus infection and a cough, to boot. The end of 2009 was too much, even for my maternal immunity (luckily, I seem to be the only sick one in the house....small favors!).

Last year is over and I've got my antibiotics, and things are starting to look up. I was super flattered to be mentioned on this Top Ten Blogs list in Amanda's farewell post at The Mom Crowd. It reminded me to keep my chin up and stay positive and quit crabbing - something I've been doing entirely too often over the past couple of months.

I'm excited to get back to all of you and get back to Twitter (it seems like it's been a month since I've been on for more than a couple minutes! I'm suffering withdrawl!). In light of the fact that the events of late December, both good and bad, kept me from the interwebs, I'm extending all the giveaways by 2 weeks (yay!). Thanks for sticking with me. Ducking into social media now and then for support over the last few weeks, especially, has kept me sane. Mostly. ;D
